About CIRES: A Content-Based Image Retrieval System

This website serves to display the ongoing content-based image retrieval research of the Computer & Vision Research Center at The University of Texas at Austin. Many of the images displayed here were extracted from royalty free image databases and from the Flickr website. All images are copyrighted by their respective owners and are displayed here for academic purposes only.The CIRES website and online retrieval system was developed by Matthew Riley. The original CIRES image retrieval algorithms were designed and implemented by Qasim Iqbal. For further details about the retrieval algorithms, please see Qasim's papers.
